Still Judas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Author James Finke has added a sequel to his first book, Dear Judas, and I loved this one even more than the first! These Christian fiction stories are similar to The Screwtape Letters, as readers are given glimpses beyond the veil through letters written from a demon to his apprentice. In the Judas books though, the letters are only occasional glimpses, while the main story is told in present day format. It’s a modern story with a CS Lewis influence, and I loved it!

I found the letters from Legion Grimshaw to Judas to be so profound, and I must say that this book was so convicting for me. Dear Judas focuses on the main character’s conversion. In Still Judas, we see the enemies’ attacks on the young Christian, particularly with their attempt to render him ineffective at sharing his faith. It has made me think so much and recognize the many excuses I have made to stay quiet.

Thank you so much to @authorjamesfinke for this gifted copy! All opinions expressed are my own.

Whew. This isn't a long book, but it sure packs a powerful punch.

If you know anything about the Bible, you know we as Christians are in constant spiritual warfare. This book brings that to life. Reminiscent of Frank Peretti (though admittedly, I've never read him), this book shows us an imagined behind-the-scenes look at a demon getting his instructions from his supervisor, and then putting those instructions to use.

It also shows us what happens when we pray, and the spiritual forces we are able to utilize.

It shows us how easy-and how dangerous-complacency is.

If you want a light, feel good, beach read, this is not your books. But if you want to feel convicted, if you want to remember how to weaponize yourself? Pick this one up. Digest it. Savor it. And put it to use.

📚 What books on spiritual warfare have you read? Which ones are on your radar? 📚

~I received a complimentary copy of this book. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.~
