Dear parent, this is your reminder that you are doing better than you think. ❤️🫂

You may have difficult days. You may question yourself. You may feel like you’re not doing enough.

But please remember that every effort to understand your child, every small win, and every moment of connection matters.

You don’t have to be a perfect parent. You deserve support, rest, and kindness, too. 💛

*You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.*

Save this for the days you need a little reminder, and share it with a parent who needs to hear it today. ❤️

🌱 My ABA Journey Continues

Today, I had the privilege of attending the QABA (Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board) Conference in Nigeria as an active member of the Association for Behaviour Analysis in Nigeria (ABAN).

It was an impactful, informative and enriching experience, providing valuable opportunities to learn, connect and grow within the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis.

I’m grateful for every opportunity to deepen my knowledge and become a more effective Behavioural Technician, supporting children and families through evidence-based practice.

✨ Still learning. Still growing. Still making a difference.

Can’t wait for next year! 🙌🏽

Nigeria continues to face a significant foundational learning crisis, with about 30% of learners reaching JSS3 without foundational reading skills.

But literacy is more than the ability to read and write. It is the ability to understand, communicate, participate and make choices, and every child deserves the opportunity to develop these skills, regardless of their abilities or learning needs.

At Nurture Nest, we believe inclusive education begins with recognising that children learn, communicate and experience the world differently. Our commitment is to help build learning spaces where these differences are understood, supported and included.

A day of learning, sharing, and seeing neurodiversity from a different perspective. 💛

I had the privilege of facilitating a teacher training at St. Teresa’s School, Ibadan, on “Understanding and Supporting Neurodivergent Learners.”

We explored neurodiversity, different neurodevelopmental conditions, common characteristics, strengths, classroom support strategies, and practical ways to understand and respond to behaviour.

But the best part? “The teachers were fully involved!”🙌🏾
We worked through real-life classroom scenarios, case studies, shared experiences, asked questions, and even used familiar local expressions to make the concepts more relatable.

It was practical, engaging, interactive and a successful session! ✨

When teachers understand the child beyond the behaviour, the classroom becomes a much more supportive place to learn. ❤️

What’s on our Opportunity Desk this week?

As a youth-led organization, one of our commitments is not only to create impact directly, but also to connect young people with opportunities that can expand their knowledge and strengthen their skills.

This week, we have curated a selection of fellowships, scholarships, skills development programmes, innovation challenges, and global opportunities that we believe can support your personal and professional growth. We encourage you to explore them, apply where eligible, and share them within your networks. Opportunities can change lives, but only when they are seen and acted upon.

Which of these opportunities will you be applying for?
