Where do you prefer to game? 🛏️ 🛋️ 📺 🖥️ 💻 I prefer to game in bed, after a long day of work and chores. My old bones just wanna snuggle down under my duvet and get cozy! Sadly, most of the time it won’t happen because I’m too exhausted 😂 My two purrfect companions also agree this is the best spot to relax! 🐱 Even though I say that, I usually end up gaming in the living room! If I’m sitting there I always have my trust best boy as an armrest, or he’s using my legs as a pillow 🐶 Even if I play mostly handheld on my Switch, 3DS, Vita, or SteamDeck, I actually prefer playing on the TV! It’s just that with my busy life, it’s easier to pick up a handheld device and play for 20-30 minutes. That’s also one of the reasons I like roguelike and indie games — they are very easy to pick up and spend a few minutes with and then put down again! I’ll return to Dave the Diver and my purring kitties now! ❤️✨ Enjoy the rest of your day/night, depending on where on the globe you are! 😘

Spooktober game recommendations! 👻✨ Hollow Knight is a gorgeous but deadly hand-drawn 2D adventure. The game is a metroidvania, soulslike, platformer, where you play as the enigmatic Knight, who explores a world full of riches, secrets and mysteries! This game can feel daunting at first, as it’s quite hard. But keep going and you will feel that progress feels sweet and rewarding! It’s a perfect game for the season!! Or anytime to be honest! 😂🙌

Fall is here~ 🍂 And so are the seasonal fall storms. It’s been raining everyday this week. I’m sick so I’m currently spending more time in bed than I would like. I have been too dizzy to play games, except for some short sessions of visual novels or point and click games. But nothing can hold my attention so it feels more like I’m starting games and switching to another one, than actually playing. I guess this is a mood 🥲😂 At least I have been able to sleep a lot!! Hopefully I’ll be feeling better tomorrow! 😮‍💨🤧

Do you have any plans for the weekend? 💚 Today we spent the whole day walking around at the Zoo and we saw a lot of Scandinavian animals! The bear and moose were my favorites, and my daughter’s favorites were the seals, pigs and goats 😂🙌 We ended the day with soft ice cream and tacos! I’m so tired and happy now, I’ll sleep like a baby!! 😝 I wish you a lovely weekend!

Koroks are some of my favorites in Zelda! 🍀 I’m happy to see that we get to play hide-and-seek with the Koroks in Tears of the Kingdom too! I really liked that in Breath of the Wild! I didn’t even find half of the Koroks there, I think there were 900 of them hidden there! I wonder how many there are to find in this game? 🌱

May the Fourth be with you!! 💫✨ Life is back to normal! 🥳🎉🎉 We are finally back on track again and it’s such a huge relief!! I’m back in the classroom together with my lovely students, and I’ve really missed them! My daughter is full of energy and joy, and doesn’t want to leave daycare in the evening when I go to pick her up!! 😂 The sun is shining, birds are tweeting and I’m just feeling GOOD for the first time in a month! We were very sick for a very long time!! I will be sniveling and coughing for one or two more weeks, but it’s mostly just annoying and not anything that will hinder me from doing what I want to do at least!! 😁🙌 Okay, so confession time! 🫣 I have only ever watched the original trilogy of Star Wars! The one with Luke and Princess Leia. I loved it, but I never got very into the Star Wars Universe. There is something intimidating about it… There is just so much lore, so many rules, characters, stories and time skips. I don’t know where to begin! I did watch two seasons of Mandalorian, and I loved it because… baby Yoda!! 😂🙈 (Don’t judge me! 🐸). So, I would really love to get to know this universe - through gaming! Which game can I pick up and play first? Can I play the new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor without playing anything before it? Or do I start with Star Wars: Fallen Order? Do the game connect to the TV series in some way? Is there a certain order to watch the different TV shows and movies? 🤔 I always feel a bit lost when I’m late to get into a fandom, and suddenly it’s grown so big so I don’t know where to begin! 😂

Sunday tunes 🎶 This weekend has been almost like normal, so I think we have almost recovered again now after a week of sickness! We went for a walk yesterday, and I’m feeling a bit weak but nothing that stops me from functioning luckily! 😁✨ I’ve been playing Horizon Forbidden West, and I think I’m getting close to the end. I’m not sure tho, the game can surprise me still. There are stuff to explore and find everywhere, and the robots attack on sight so it’s very difficult to make progress fast. Especially as I always have to do everything I run into, and I’m the master of sidetracking and getting lost on my way exploring. But I really love to discover all secrets, logs etc. The interactions between the NPCs and Aloy feel so ALIVE! And I love that there are follow up dialogues now and that quests have real consequences both on the humans involved and on the environment or area as a whole! 🤩 💬 Which game is your favorite open world game? 💎 I have tagged friends and other gems! Hi Saturday! 🐌 My baby girl is sick! We made it thru almost all of January, but now she keeps coughing and just wanna cuddle and sleep. She’s been using me as a bed today. While she slept I played some of these games that remind me of my childhood. The first gaming console that I got was a SNES with Super Mario World. It was my birthday and I turned 5 years old! I had never seen a video game before! I used to watch my parents play Mario in the evenings, and I loved playing it alone too - but I never could get very far. But nothing was as cozy as watching them play! During the weekends there were Video Rental Stores that rented out 3 games and 3 movies for cheap, and we almost always rented the same games, over and over. Including Yoshi’s Island, Super Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country! 🤩❤️ Honorary mentions are Pocky and Rocky, Zombies ate my Neighbors! and Turtles in Time! 🤩🙌 At my friends place I got to try out Zelda a Link to the Past for the first time, and another friend had a NES with Super Mario Bros 3! We played them so much, even if we didn’t understand a word they said! The first console I bought myself was a teal Gameboy Color with Pokémon Yellow and Donkey Kong Country! I remember all nights trying to play it in the car, with a flash light or waiting for the street lights to lit up my otherwise dark screen. Ahhh good times! It feels like I’m ancient, when I think about that my almost 2 year old daughter is growing up watching me explore the gorgeous landscapes in Horizon Zero Dawn and The Forbidden West! And for the moral police - I never fight humans when she’s around or do story, so you don’t have to DM me about that it’s not good for her! I’ll be here with my beloved pixel games 🥰 And after I’m done with God of War Ragnarök and Horizon The Forbidden West I’ll play Eastward, just to get my indie and pixel itch scratched!! 🤩🙌 💬 Do you remember your first game and console? 💎 I have tagged friends and other gems!
