Apparently y’all want to know what’s been done to Fairlane #2… so here we go. (Yes there is two!)

She’s running a 390 FE big block stroked to 416, making around 550 HP! We put just about everything Edelbrock we could on the engine, including a dual-quad tunnel ram intake from Jim Brown pulling 1,200 CFM through TWO Edelbrock AVS2 carburetors.

Add in a prototype Edelbrock/TCI 4L80E, Heidts front suspension and 4-link rear, Quick Performance rear end, Wilwood disc brakes all around, American Autowire wiring, Moroso roll cage, and Coker wheels wrapped in vintage-looking Firestone Wide Ovals.

A LOT has gone into this Fairlane, and that’s putting it lightly.

Just picked up the 69 Torino this week from paint. Relic Restomods killed it on the paint job! The MarkIV Red paint job turned out stunning! The rest will have to wait until next winter. Too much ⚾️ and 🥎 about to come up. #notime #fordtorino #69torino #builtnotbought #ford

Today we wrapped up installing our full Heidts Superide II suspension along with the 4-link rear setup and the Quick Performance rear differential. We officially got the car back on its wheels and closed out our three day build. So much progress, and lots of content coming soon! Day two of the Drag & Drive build was all about the groundwork, measuring, grinding, cutting, and welding. We knocked out the entire front suspension and structural points, setting the stage for what’s coming next: assembly and the four-link rear.

Day one of our Drag & Drive build and we went all in. We completely tore out the entire front suspension, steering, and shock towers on the Fairlane to prep for the Super Ride II front suspension setup from @heidtssuspensions. The biggest reason for this swap is eliminating the factory shock towers, which opens up a ton of room for a bigger motor and actually gives you space to work in the engine bay. Big moves, big goals this build is just getting started.
