#tbt to the first sport I fell in love and became obsessed with: Track and Field.

Good enough to throw in college and earn a few All-Americans along the way. Also introduced me to the Olympic lifts, Highland Games, and the Conjugate Method so not mad about the connections it brought along with it.

Hop in, Spartans! 🛺

For National Hazing Prevention Week, VP for Athletics Jim Hamad gave a few of our Spartans a ride to class with some trivia and conversation about creating a positive team culture along the way.

Lead by example. Set the standard.

Deedee Colon Maldonado set a new course record at the Elmhurst Twilight Mile, racing to victory in 4:48.2.

The performance continues a strong 2026 season for Deedee, who has officially joined Gold Crown Athletics Representation. Together, we have been working through the process of establishing her affiliation with FAPUR (Federación de Atletismo de Puerto Rico) as she pursues opportunities to represent Puerto Rico on the international stage.

A course record, a victory, and exciting opportunities ahead. We’re proud to be part of Deedee’s journey and can’t wait to see what’s next. 🇵🇷👑🏃🏻‍♀️
