The timing of this prep for her couldn’t have been more random or more needed

@ava.fotopoulos came to me 3 weeks ago stressed and unsure what to do next. She was 3 weeks out from her first show, gaining weight, doing 2 hours of cardio, inflamed, and confused

The coolest part about this weekend is she finally understands what this process is actually supposed to feel like now

7lbs down in just the 3 weeks working together and we’re going to keep chipping away

I don’t think she realizes how rewarding this prep has been for me too because too many first time competitors are more lost than people realize

Monday Move of Week is the the Plank to Pike which isn’t just a core move—it’s a full-body powerhouse. This Lagree staple builds deep core strength, challenges shoulder stability, and fires up your entire body with slow, controlled precision. No momentum, no shortcuts—just pure strength and endurance. The burn is real, but so are the results. Who’s adding this to their next session?

As year 9 of coaching comes to an end for me I wanted to take this time to thank my seniors. Over the last 4 years (Covid and all) you girls have showed up. You have led this team with all of your hard work, dedication, grace and humility. You have been by my side through it all. You all have worked so hard and we set a goal and we were able to make our dreams finally come true. Our biggest accomplishment, program history, state champions would not have been possible without you all. Thank you for making me a better coach, thank you for sticking around through it all. I am going to miss you all so much and I am so proud of each and every one of you. Come back and visit us whenever you want! Once a Gator Always a Gator love you endlessly! 🐊

There’s so much to say about these seniors. We will miss you all so much. You have led this team with such grace, humility and dedication. Through every experience, through all the years, laughter and joy you guys have been there every step of the way. We’ve all worked so hard to make our dreams become a reality but that would not have been possible without you guys leading the way. Watching you all grow up and accomplish goals cheer related and not has been my favorite thing about coaching you all. The special bonds I have created with each and every one of you will always be cherished. Your legacy has been created and will always be remembered. I’m going to miss the wild dance breaks, nap time , laughter sessions and our mat talks the most. As you move on to the next chapter in your life just remember I’m always a phone call away,
Congratulations Class of 2024 STATE CHAMPS🥇

Love you the most- Coach Nicole 💙🐊

Feeling powerless and unable to trust her body after the loss of her daughter, @loveinshadesofcoral was looking for a way to honor her daughter's memory while also rebuilding her confidence in herself.
🌊
As an avid gym-goer, she knew physical movement was a great tool for mental health. She decided to form a race team for the 2019 Baltimore Running Festival. She reached out to @theppromfoundation and asked if she could fundraise for them through her team.
🏋️‍♂️
The took a leap of faith and invested in Julie's idea, becoming an Charity Partner of the running festival that year. Making Waves for Coral, Julie's race team, has now become an official affiliate organization of The PPROM Foundation, raising over $15,000 since 2019 and engaging in advocacy from peer-to-peer all the way to the national level on behalf of PPROM families.

How do you parent a child who dies in the womb???
🌈
By telling their story and building a legacy in their name.
🌈
When Julie Odar found out she was pregnant, she knew exactly the kinds of values she wanted to instill in her child.
🌊
She planned to raise her baby to be strong, resilient and with a love of adventure. After losing her sweet daughter, Coral Francesca, to PPROM at 19 weeks pregnant, she felt an overwhelming sense of powerlessness. Slowly, she came to envision her baby girl as a tiny mermaid – stuck on the land when she needed water to thrive – and with the help and encouragement of friends and family, her first children’s book, Coral Couldn’t Stay came into existence.
🧜
Coral Couldn’t Stay follows the journey of the human family of an adventurous young mermaid as they confront the difficult decision to let her go and allow her to embrace her destiny.
🧜‍♂️
Originally written and published as a passion project and a way to process her grief, Coral Couldn’t Stay is now available on Amazon in English, Spanish and French, as has been recommended as a useful tool for NICU families and others navigating separation and loss with their living children.

This week is National Cheerleading Week, and I'd love to give a shoutout to all the badass women (and men) who are involved in this sport.

A lot of people think that cheerleading is NOT a sport! Those people can kick rocks! (prolly can't count to 8)

The tears, blood, and sweat that these athletes put into this sport are beyond powerful. There are so many cheerleaders and family members I have looked up to in amazement
I am proud to be in the cheer community and to be a cheer dad and a gator for life!!! CHOMP CHOMP
