a love letter to paris

one year ago, I spent two months of my life in a completely new country and culture, surrounded by everything unfamiliar and different, yet somehow it all felt so familiar to me. during those two months, my life completely changed and honestly hasn’t been the same since.

from the people I met and the lifelong friends — family, really — that I found, to the food, art, language, work life, habits, and routines that slowly became part of who I am… I held onto this experience for far too long, trying to protect something so precious to me. but I’ve finally realized how selfish it is to keep something so beautiful a secret.

Paris.

to me, it means so many things. Inside jokes. found family. new levels of discomfort and exploration. complete independence and survival. love and connection. endless possibilities of lives waiting to be lived.

even now, I’m left speechless, feeling like there are no words that could ever fully capture what my time there meant to me. a part of me will always exist in Paris, in the 15th arrondissement, just an eight-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower.

thank you to everyone who made this journey possible and to everyone who was there along the way. you mean the absolute world to me, and I love you. now and forever.
