Week 2 brought the perfect finish to an unforgettable NYC program! 🚀 Our students kicked off the week at iHeartMedia, followed by visits to GAP and MLB Headquarters, where they heard directly from leaders shaping the future of media, marketing, events, branding, and sports. Throughout the week, students also participated in executive speaker sessions with industry leaders who challenged them to think differently about their careers, relationships, and the impact they hope to make in the sports industry. From there, the group spent time at Excel Sports Management and 160over90, gaining valuable insights into talent representation, brand partnerships, experiential marketing, and the power of curiosity, collaboration, and relationship-building. The week continued with an incredible visit to the NBA League Office, where students learned from executives across talent acquisition, social impact, marketing partnerships, digital content, and the WNBA. To close out the program, students stepped in front of the camera for professional headshots and formal interviews, showcasing the growth, confidence, and professionalism they developed over the last two weeks. We then celebrated alongside IMPACT alumni at Chelsea Piers, reflecting on new friendships, meaningful connections, and memories that will last well beyond the program! Two weeks. Dozens of industry leaders. Countless lessons. Thank you to every executive, partner, alum, and organization who invested in this group. The future of the sports, entertainment, and media industry is bright!🌟 #IMPACTLearningInstitute #NewYorkCity #ProfessionalDevelopment #NYC #SportsandEntertainment

What does it take to power the worlds of sports, music, entertainment, and culture? Yesterday, our students found out! IMPACT spent the day at THE TEAM (formerly Wasserman), one of the world’s leading agencies in athlete, artist, and entertainment management, where students had the opportunity to learn from 16 executives and team members across sports, music, branding, partnerships, creative strategy, talent representation, people development, and consulting! One of the most special moments of the day was being welcomed by IMPACT 2021 alum Sam Reichert, now an Associate Manager in Brand Consulting at THE TEAM. Sam helped coordinate the experience and returned to share his journey from IMPACT student to industry professional. Highlights from the day included: 🎤 Exploring career opportunities across sports, music, entertainment, and brand partnerships 🤝 Learning how relationships, creativity, and strategy drive business across industries 🎬 Participating in a mock negotiation exercise that brought partnerships, talent representation, and deal-making to life 📈 Hearing honest insights on career growth, leadership, and navigating an ever-changing industry Most importantly, students got a firsthand look at the people and teams behind some of the world’s most influential brands, artists, athletes, and cultural moments! A huge thank you to Sam Reichert, Mary Reiling Spencer and the executives at THE TEAM for hosting IMPACT Learning Institute and investing your time, knowledge, and energy into our students! Our group walked away inspired with new perspectives, new connections, and a better understanding of what it takes to build a career in these industries!
