Meet today's #FSFInternSpotlight: Ava Carter of Indiana University, who is spending her summer interning with Kohl's! Ava connected with a member of the Kohl's team and learned about the opportunity during FSF's Virtual Talent Acquisition Event earlier this year, and we're so grateful to Kohl's for participating in events like these.

"During my time with Kohl's this summer, I've had the opportunity to not only attend intern classes to grow my design skills, but do real work for my team and make meaningful contributions. My favorite thing I've done so far as an intern with the Apparel Design team was our team shopping trip to Chicago to learn what to look for in the marketplace and to gain inspiration for my future work. Another memorable moment was volunteering at a children's center, and giving back to the community alongside my Kohl's teammates."

We’re excited to announce our Class of 2026 Named Scholars, starting with the five recipients of the UBS House of Craft Scholarships: Ava Carter, Ethan Gayle, Asia Hertz, Anna Beth Mauldin, and Fiona Otto!

These Scholars were selected for their dedication to and interest in the mastery of craft, including specialized disciplines such as embroidery and weaving, lace making, quilting and patchwork, hand-painting, leathercraft, draping and tailoring, patternmaking, textile print design, and beadwork.
