Bodybuilding debut showwww
I earned 3rd in my novice class, 4th in true novice, and 5th in open at this competition and I couldn’t be happier. I did not expect to place at all and I came home with three medals, lots of cookies, and the rest of my life to come back stronger.
Coaching myself has been hands down the most difficult thing of my life. Every day for 4.5 months my nerves were tested. My discipline was questioned. But my dedication to this sport was undeniable. Being on stage gave me a feeling that I can’t describe. I’ve never been so passionate about anything in my life. I am eternally grateful that I have found something that gives me so much bliss by simply being present. It’s not about winning. It’s about beating yourself.
I seriously could not have done this without my other half, @chrisherringerr. Thank you for being my energy whe I was low, my water boy when I was tired, and my number one cheerleader. I am the luckiest girl in the world for such an amazing partner.
Also thank you to @elisestoub05 for never complaining about the constant stink of eggs in the apt and keeping ur paws off my meal prep. You are one of a kind. And obviously all the love to my ESA best friend Mavis Black who was unfortunately not in attendance at my show due to her ongoing obsession with q tips and getting in my way when I pose.
Also I love you, mom @laurag218 for supporting me every step of the way and weighing out my peppers when I came home for meals.
Also no my eyes are not closed those lashes were just MASSIVE

✨Feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this year’s National Restaurant Convention! ✨

Volunteering alongside culinary legends like Rick Bayless, Jonathan Sawyer, and Dominique Leach has been an unforgettable experience. Their passion for food and dedication to the industry is truly inspiring.

What made this experience even more special was sharing it with some of my closest friends and amazing classmates from Joliet Junior College. Together, we learned, laughed, and created lasting memories that I’ll cherish forever.

Thank you to everyone who made this convention possible, and to all the incredible people I had the privilege to work with. Here’s to the future of food and the connections we build along the way! 🍽️❤️
