Gemini season is flying by. Gratitude and joy post. We celebrated my birthday by making meals at @obklosangeles and it was a time. Love having my favorite people gather to do good things.

It’s hogs, y’all!

My heart is so full. Last week, @Inevitable hosted a wonderful premiere screening of all five short films from their Visionary Fellowship at the Academy’s Linwood Dunn theater. I was honored to be amongst such talented filmmakers: @filipefcoutinho , @zayreferrer, @writeralys, and @moni4trees. @Inevitable put together an amazing program with BTS footage and interviews with all of us about our films.

The Hog Queen has been an incredible labor of love with so many talented people in Austin and LA giving their all to this strange little film. I could not have asked for a better cast or crew.

Endless gratitude to everyone who showed up for this at every stage of the process. Special thanks to @Inevitablefoundation for believing in me and embracing my obsession with feral hogs, and to @shelbyghadden and @hola.soy.sebastian.dp for being a part of this since the very beginning. Well, not the very beginning - that was @dansolomon, who brainstormed this with me at the Northwest Hills pool. We are now applying to festivals so if you have any connections or know of any that would be a good fit, let me know!

A dinner embedded in my memory. A once in a lifetime meal. Highest of praise for the high priest of the kitchen, chef Nguyen Bui. Stories were told. Flavors and textures to behold. Wine was drunk. The night, a slam dunk. With friends forever more. The heart soars.

It all starts with this clever and subversive book from @thevaultcomics. A lot of effort went into us putting it all together. We had a few suitors for this package and we chose well. Big thanks to our team at @unitedtalent, @industryentertainmentpartners and of course @iam_sugarman. More to come on #mindset

I can't thank @thechildrensbookreview for this wonderful review of the Kelcie Murphy series. At a time when the world feels so war ravaged, and we need more stories about peace. About working together. About what makes us similar, not different. About love and friendship. 🙏 for peace.
