A big thank you to fellow visual storytellers @mallorypoolphoto, @avakitziphotography, @pinson.photos, and @anniegphotographs for this idea and the gentle reminder that I can photograph outside of my work in a newsroom or classroom. It was refreshing to remember why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

The Golden Girls that came before us taught us strength in sisterhood and left a legacy that we proudly strive to carry forward. It is an honor to share the field with them during homecoming. ✨🤍 #GG4L

Hey guys it’s me! Noël! To celebrate 4 years of my photo acc, ig yall deserve to know who I am:

Most most most importantly, I love the one and only jesus christ, and I wouldn’t be anything without Him. HE is the reason I have this gift, and everything I do is for His glory!!

I’m a junior at the University of Missouri studying Sport Management! I grew up playing soccer for 10 years, which is where my love for socc stems from. I tore both of my acl’s while playing in high school which encouraged me to devote more time into my photo stuff. I was a biiig yearbook girl, love you @rbhsflashback, which grew my love of teaching photo.

My freshman year I went down to Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where I learned MANY different random media skills, as well as grew my knowledge for photo. I occasionally ran cams and graphics for ESPN basketball broadcasts, helped the marketing department, and of course photographed as much boys club soccer as I could.

Fall 2024, I felt called to transfer back home to como, and started my job as a photo intern for Mizzou Athletics. THIS. JOB. I love it so much. The people I work with, and those I meet, constantly remind me that I am exactly where I need to be. (thanks God❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥) I’m constantly pushed outside my comfort zone, challenged, and given creative freedom all at the same time. biiiig thanks to @willharbur & @violetlewismedia

I also joined the DR team for @veritascomo where I get to expand my portfolio and get to serve the Lord all at the same time! #slowshuttering worship.

My style consists of warmer tones, slowing the shot down and a BIG crop. I try to invite the fans to join me on the field (in a way), to see the game how I do. The movements and colors, everything is so intentional in sports. I try to represent the intentionality and perfection of God’s creation through all my work, because it’s from, and for, and through HIM.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading! :)
This year you’ll be seeing LOTS of wbb, as i’ll be close w them this season! get excited, love yall!

Hi! My name is Ava Kitzi, I’m a junior studying photojournalism from Columbia, Missouri. I grew up going to every Mizzou Football and Basketball game (along with the rest) and absolutely love to be on the other side of it now, capturing the best of the best for the Tigers. I have loved every minute of my work photographing for Mizzou’s teams, but my favorite moments are the studio photoshoots. This is what I hope to pursue in the future, and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to learn alongside the best creative team and try new things🤍

Happy National Girls & Women in Sports Day! Aka our team’s favorite holiday!! We added FOUR new female photographers to our team since this time last year, including our own Assistant Director, Violet!

With the majority of our team being female, we are SO grateful for the hardworking interns that we have. (We are so grateful for our three boys, as well😉) This day recognizes the importance of having females in a predominantly male career field. So shoutout to our GIRLS today!! #girlbossalert #ngwsd #girlsandwomeninsportsday
