Stayed up all night trying to get this done before my flight today so you all better watch it and share it! Parawing focused. Long in-depth conversations about foil and parawing design as opposed to marketing hype. #wingfoil #parawing #awsi

This was the best Blowout we have ever had!

We had 101 people register- 4 DNS and all other 96 competitors made it to the finish line in Hood River, Oregon.

It may not have been the most Nukin Blowout ever, but it was the most successful!

Thank you to everyone in the industry who help keep these events alive, as well as the amazing folks and volunteers who make it possible.

Most of all- Thank YOU 🙌🏼!
It’s because you keep coming back year after year- for 47 years that this event is still alive.

Cheers to all! 🍻

See you July 24-25, 2027

Huge shoutout to all the legendary competitors who threw down as well as everyone who helped produce such a rockin weekend.

Thank you to all the kite and wing industry for always supporting the long standing event. And to the local businesses who step up and help make this event possible.

Thank you to the port of skamania and the City of Stevenson for providing this iconic stage.

🏆 2026 AWSI Wind Athlete of the Year Nominee

🌊 Avala W. | Adult Female | Wing

Avala W. is pushing her riding to new levels while juggling school and continuing to challenge herself on the water.

This season, she’s put together an impressive run of results:

🥇 Bridge of the Gods — Freestyle
🥇 The Blowout — Winging & Women’s
🥉 The Blowout — Overall
🥇 Gromfest — Big Air
🥈 Gromfest — Racing & Freestyle

For Avala, progression has also meant pushing through fear and repeatedly trying new tricks—even when it hurts—and leaning on the friends who help keep her moving forward.

And she’s just as focused on keeping the stoke alive, sharing that energy with friends and fellow riders both on and off the water.

“I just wanna say thank you so much for considering me and I’m so honored to be a part of this incredible event!! Can’t wait to see you all out in the water!!”

⚡ Progression. Perseverance. Stoke.

On September 9 in Hood River, AWSI Awards attendees will vote LIVE for the Top Male Grom, Top Female Grom, Top Male Windsport Athlete and Top Female Windsport Athlete, with nominees representing Wing, Windsurf, Kite and Foil.

🏆 Four categories. One live vote. And the wind sports community gets to decide.
