Judith (Judy) Anne Andrews
March 19, 1947 – October 4, 2026

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of Judy Andrews, at the age of 79.

Judy leaves behind her husband and lifetime partner, Ernie Andrews, after 57 years of marriage; her daughters, Julie Andrews (Fred Bergman); and Angela Andrews (Randy Kielbasiewicz) and the three people she was perhaps proudest of, her grandchildren Wyatt, Avalon and Ruby.

Family was Judy’s greatest source of pride. If you knew her, chances are you knew what her children and grandchildren were up to, because she never missed an opportunity to talk about them.

Judy was creative, curious, funny and fiercely devoted to the people she loved. She loved painting and crafting, was an avid reader, enjoyed a good game of Scrabble and treasured her lifelong friendships. She and Ernie also shared many wonderful summers with family and friends at their cottage at Avalon Park on Lake Erie.

Over the past year, as Judy’s health declined, Ernie remained constantly by her side, caring for her until the end. Our family is deeply grateful to the friends and family who supported us and to the nurses, physicians and staff at NGH who cared for Judy with kindness and compassion.

We wish there had been more time, but we know she is finally at peace.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later date.

We love you, Mom.

It just never works out, does it.
I spent months unemployed last winter. Finally, someone gave me a chance, I got to coach Amherst Central high school distance runners in the spring. I'll keep this short, I thought it went great, I'll never forget it, and I was never happier at work then when I was coaching.
Unfortunately, that was it, I once again went months unemployed, couldn't even get a minimum wage job somewhere (don't even get me started, idk why either)
The ONE thing I did have, was running, and since I had nothing else to do, it was time to lock in.
Unfortunately two races (with lots of prize money btw 🫩) got cancelled so I replaced them with two time trials, but this has been the past month.

8/9 - 1:59.8 (800m)
8/15 - 4:16 (road mile)
8/25 - 8:24 (3000m)
9/5 - 2nd at the brockport xc meet (alumni W)
9/6 - 15:18 at the usatf 5k Niagara champs (Bergen Elite series W)

Racing two 5ks two days in a row resulted in two performances that I'm not super happy with, the brockport xc race was probably one of the worst xc races I've ever ran, not running in the grass for almost 2 years definitely didn't help. The good news is it's still technically possible to win the series after getting 2nd at the usatf race, even if it probably won't happen.

If I've learned anything the past year or so, it's that life sucks, so find a place to be happy, people to be happy with, and do the things you genuinely enjoy, because what else is there to do.

I am so thankful to my parents, teammates and coaches for their endless support. It is truly the people that have made me fall so in love with this sport. Most importantly, let all glory be to God because only through him are things possible.
