It’s been quite the healing journey. I’m proud of myself. I am grateful. Thank you to @sacredspacetarot and her guided readings, where in her very first one for me she said Ishtar, Venus, Aphrodite is my patron goddess. I didn’t quite understand it then, but last year when I embraced the divine feminine path, I got it. I felt it. And through my Moon Temple Journey with @thesophiebashford I got to deepen my understanding of the divine feminine and in it, I found my strength too. And deep gratitude to soul sister @avasol144 for introducing me to Sophie’s book “You Are A Goddess” which has opened so many doors for me. I love you, sis. 🌸 Prompts: A ritual of endings #toniyoungprompts Begging at the altar @erin.shea.author The memory of you is fraying at the edges @drowsytypewriter #drowsytypewriter Fragile yet not fragile @mitreverie #mitreveriepoetry As the tarot cards have commanded, I inject hope @rhapsodyrobyn River by @leonbridges 🌸 If this stirred something in you or made you think of someone, save it, share it, send it. 🌸 With you. One phenomenon that I have noted in others in both my personal and professional lived experiences is learned helplessness. Learned helplessness is a result of trauma/ repeated traumas and interactions with people with savior complexes. Learned helplessness is described as “a condition in which a person has a sense of powerlessness, arising from a traumatic event or persistent failure to succeed.”

People that present this are often unmotivated to take action, believing that they will fail anyway. People tend to have codependent relationships, low self esteem and low self worth. Unfortunately, this phenomenon results in self- sabotage and burnout. I understand what it is like to “fail” and that is why I will keep encouraging others to try again. One of my favorite memories was observing a person with extreme learned helplessness slowly gain the courage to make choices for themself and take action on their desires. I was incredibly proud of that person. Acceptance of one’s agency and taking action proved to the person that they were stronger than they thought. I want to encourage anyone that is presenting this or even a fraction of this. Be encouraged. It may not feel like you can do it but I believe in you. Try it again. Stand up again. Accept your agency and take action. Your brain/ nervous system is built for so much capacity. Be strong and courageous. If you don’t feel like you can be, know that I prophesy it over your life. I believe in you. Imagine me by your side cheering you on! All my love 🤍. #damiocean #learnedhelplessness #actionforhappiness

Holy Fire: Reclaiming Desire, Shakti, and the Sacred Self by Ava Sol | 4/5 ⭐️ This book stirred something deep in me. Holy Fire is both a call and a remembering of what it means to be alive in our bodies, to reclaim our sacred truths, and to honor desire as divine. There are so many provocations here, each one a spark to help you come home to yourself. Reading about the Divine Feminine and meditating on what it means to move through the world from that rooted, radiant place has been a central part of my journey this year. Ava Sol’s words resonate. There are so many belief systems to unlearn (voices that told us to shrink, suppress, or sever our aliveness) but if you come to this book with an open mind, a willing heart, and the longing to keep your inner fire lit, it will meet you where you are. 📚 Book 69 of 50 💬 Favorite Quotes: “As we begin to untangle from the voices that told us to compete, compare, and conform, we make space for something ancient and holy to rise again: sisterhood.” “This is why so many people find themselves doing more art, music, writing, movement, or making bold life choices as they begin to reconnect with their sensual power. This energy is meant to move.” “‘What wants to be born through me?’” “Your capacity for pleasure is your capacity for presence.” “Let there be light in my womb,” and there was fire, and there was poetry, and there was power.” “The erotic is not just about sex. It is pure life force—wild, pulsing, intuitive, untamable. It is the breath of creation moving through you.” “Erotic aliveness is knowing your body is an altar—and moving through the world like you remember that.” #bookreview #avasol #holyfire #divinefeminine #sacredfeminine #shakti #reclaimingdesire #spiritualbooks #embodiedliving #bookedtonesreviews #gentlereading #filipinobookstagram #bookcommunityph #bookstagramph #womenwhowrite #soulfulreads #readingwithheart #feminineenergy #selfdevotion

Afternoon Devotion by Toni Young Ice melts into pockets of dark honey nectar— a hand slipping beneath skirted thighs, the other tiding across my belly, tender as a love letter laced with an apology and a promise. One behavior that I have caught myself doing in the past and notice with people is self- sabotage. It almost seems as though the more we care about something, the more we care about the outcome, the more we care about the loss of it, the more likely we are to put ourselves the position to receive the outcome that we fear. One definition of self- sabotaging behavior is “the act of consciously or unconsciously interfering with one’s own goals and well-being”. There are several signs of this behavior. Such as procrastination, overthinking, negative self-talk, avoidance, unrealistic goals and more. We may not even realize that we are acting out these behaviors, until the thing we cared about is lost to us. Even then, we may promote avoidance by distractions and move on (or try to) the to next. If you resonate with this, I am certainly with you. Boy does it hurt when you lose something because of your own actions. It hurts even more later when you run away from facing the loss, I get it. 😭🥹😮‍💨😪 Be encouraged. Please take the time to self- reflect on the root cause of your behaviors. If you need professional help, mentorship and so on to help you move forward, please seek the appropriate resources. You are so worthy to reach your goals/dreams/desires. The fear of failure and the fear of success are only indicators of what our ideal selves desire. All my love 🤍. #damiocean #selfsabotage Photo by @gaellmarcel_stilllife and @avasol144

The Boat Is Sinking and I Don’t Want to Plug the Holes Anymore by Toni Young I hear the screams around me, but I’m listening to the undercurrent’s gravel-and-honey hum vibrating through the floorboards— my toes curl. The shouts cage a list of needs, but I’m seeing this boat has no doors, only a stretch between tide and sky; I don’t even have to knock. They don’t hear the splash. If they press their ears to the storm, they, too, will know: I have always been the ocean. 🌊 Prompts: @octaviaknightpoetry #octaviaprompts “Something wet and holy” @avasol144 “My deepest longing” @sad.magical.girl “Shipwreck” @livinthelinespoetry “I only ever wanted softness. And instead, I became…” (Complete the sentence) - I put a tweak on it in my last line. #toniyoungpoems #wilddivine #sacredfeminine #softmagic #poetryinmotion #firepoem #gentlereading #selflovepoet #divinefeminineenergy #spiritualwriting #healingwords #untamedpoetry #softpower #inneralchemy #selflove #healing #selflovejourney#poetrycommunity #poetsofinstagram
