A little birthday nostalgia… and perhaps a little love at first bite. 💙✨

Last year, my husband decided that my birthday deserved more than a celebration — it deserved an entire week of surprises, experiences and beautiful little moments. ❤️

And one of those moments took me to a place that had been sitting on my dream list for the longest time — Avatāra, Mumbai.

Dressed in my birthday blue — a long, layered, beautifully shaded gown, feminine, elegant and just a little sassy — I arrived with absolutely no idea that I was about to have the sweetest little coincidence.

Because Avatāra unfolds through a world of Krishna-inspired artistry, symbolism and Indian culinary storytelling — with peacock-inspired details, lotus motifs and even a dessert bearing the striking form of the Sudarshan Chakra. 🦚💙

And somehow, completely by chance, my shades of blue seemed to belong to the story too.

I hadn’t planned it.
I hadn’t chosen the dress for the theme.

It just… happened. ✨

And then came the food.

Perhaps this is what falling in love with food looks like. ❤️

Every creation was an exquisite interplay of flavour, texture, colour and imagination — an elegant reinterpretation of vegetarian Indian cuisine that felt less like a meal and more like a gastronomic love affair with our heritage.

Beautifully conceived.
Meticulously crafted.
Almost too beautiful to disturb.

And yet… absolutely impossible to resist. 😉

For someone who finds beauty in Ayurveda, Indian traditions, philosophy and the stories behind our culture, the experience felt particularly enchanting.

But somewhere between the blue, the Krishna-inspired details, the extraordinary food and the person sitting across the table from me, I realised —

some experiences don’t simply make memories.
They make you fall in love with the moment itself. 💙✨

A dream-list experience.
A birthday dressed in blue.
A little serendipity.
And, quite possibly, a little love at first bite. 🦚💙

Some memories deserve to be savoured twice.
