There are so many highs and lows owning horses, and Sunday marked a huge milestone for me and a huge high, so it deserves a post on the feed!!

Zoey and I competed in our first ever competition. A day 1 goal since I bought her 3 years ago. I’ve been riding since I was 8 years old and never competed, so this was a huge deal for us! (Or just me 😂)

I listened to @mirihackett words of wisdom from her competition warmup ride along podcast, and I set my intention on the day: ride a relaxed test, that’s all nothing else mattered and that’s what we did 🥳

A huge thank you to my amazing groom @avcequine and of course @peterlydon1999 for always helping me out.

To add to the chaos of the day, Ivy delivered a beautiful, healthy, filly foal the morning of the show (literally as I was washing Zoey she started foaling 😂). This little lady was 5+ weeks overdue and caused so much stress, doubts, worry and many early wake up calls over the last few weeks and months. But she’s here and she’s perfect ❤️

A small thing for most, but a huge day for me. I’m so grateful to my support system of family, friends, and my local horse community. Grateful beyond words 🫶
