Yesterday, our studio and everything we’ve built over the last 7 years went up in flames during the South River Art Studios fire. We lost our entire inventory, our equipment, our tools — the entire foundation of That Creative Dept. and That Game Social.
In one day, everything we’ve poured our hearts, creativity, and lives into was gone.

This loss comes at an already painful time for small creative businesses, with major DEI and multicultural budget cuts impacting our industry. And now, heading into the holiday season — our slowest time for events — we’re unable to fully operate without support.

With Hapeville being a “Home for the Arts”, we are heartbroken to hear about the devastating fire at South River Art Studios.

On Wednesday morning, a fire tore through the shared creative space — a home to many artists, fabricators, sculptors, woodworkers, and makers. Within minutes, these talented creators lost everything.

Hapeville Main Street has been honored to showcase Jonathan Imafidor’s sculptures during our July Gallery Crawl and Ryan Durrett’s work in October.
