Volleyball,

For 15 years, you were such a big part of my life. You were my favorite sport, my escape, and my constant. I was blessed to be able to play college athletics while managing Type One Diabetes, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. Being a two-year captain challenged me, shaped me, and helped me grow into a stronger leader and person. The court was always a place I could go when I needed a break from the outside noise, and within those lines I poured out so much sweat, laughter, and more than a few tears.

To all of my coaches and trainers along the way, thank you. I truly could not have made the decisions I did or found success without your guidance, support, and belief in me. To my family, thank you for always cheering me on, showing up, and understanding how important this sport was to me. Your support meant everything.

To my girls, transferring is scary. You never really know what will happen, whether you’re making the right decision, or if you’ll find the friendships you’ve prayed for. I am so grateful to say that I did. I met some of the most amazing women who will be in my life forever. Each year was special because of you. ILYA4L 🥰✨🤭🩷!

And most importantly, none of this would have happened without my Heavenly Father by my side. Lord, thank you for my journey. In the moments of self-doubt and anxiety, You lifted me up and carried me through.

Volleyball, thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the people you brought into my life. You will always be a part of me.
