How did 21 years go by so quickly??

I miss the days when her curly hair would bounce as she ran from the back of the house to welcome me home each day at the front door!

I miss walking her to elementary school.

I miss listening to silly songs in the car.

I miss kicking the ball with her.

I miss a lot of things from when she was younger, but I’m so blessed to be her Dad and watch how she’s growing in her faith, and as a confident young woman.

Happy 21st birthday, Avery.
I love you!

I’ve learned a lot lately and I’m so grateful for the people in my life and most importantly JESUS! 💛 Thank you Lord for all of the blessings in my life :)

REMINDER: We are made new in HIM. He has adopted us since birth and is our Father and nothing can ever change that he is within us. No matter what sin we have done or what our lives were before him, he makes us new again and the Holy Spirit can never be taken away and lives within us always! I’m so grateful for our God and his forgiveness and holiness!

This girl right here is a ROCKSTAR! ✨🥳

I’m so proud of my sister and all she is and her time as a tiger tunes hostess this year! What a joy it was to watch and support her every night and just see her have so much joy and fun on stage! If you yall know Avery she is just the embodiment of joy, fun, talent, love, resilience, and lives in a way that shows who Jesus is and how Jesus loves. Even though I’m her older sister I look up to her everyday and she makes me so proud in every possible way! I love you so much Av! You killed it this week!

Talk about growing as you go. What a song to sing my third and last year as a host. What an incredible journey, challenging, blessing and honor it has been. It’s hard to wrap my head around last night being my last tunes ever on that side of the stage.

I took in every moment, looked at everyone in the crowd, connected with my other hosts and just created. We create because of our Creator and what a blessing it has been to share this type of creativity with over 10,000 people for the past three years. Each group was different, each group was beautiful and each group meant so much to me and still does. Tunes helped me grow, definitely as a musician but more importantly as a person, a leader and a friend. I’m forever thankful for tunes. I remember watching for the first time as a junior in high school with my mom thinking, one day I will try and be up on that stage. And I did that!!

Thank you to each person in each group that has helped shape me and my time here at Ouachita, I’m not ready for this year of college to be over but at least this chapter went out with a bang!!
