bye bye, summer!

summer has always been a difficult season for me. I struggle with the in-between, the quiet after joyous chaos, the feeling of watching a season end before you are ready to let it go.

I spend too much time trying to understand seasons while I am still living them, but I’m learning to stop leaning on my own understanding & trust in the Lord.

A month in Italy. New cities, long conversations, late nights, and friendships that became familiar so quickly. Girls State, surrounded by intelligent and set-apart young women who challenged me, encouraged me, saw me, and left pieces of themselves with me.

Amidst the chaos & permeating the in-between, God gave me people who reminded me that life is meant to be lived in community. That there is beauty in being known, and that the in-between isn’t so scary when you trust & love with everything you have. I LOVE MY PEOPLE! I LOVE JESUS! YAY!
