I would say there are no words that I can say to really say what I want… but there are, and I will do my best. We are so proud of this team. Regional runner up, and final 8 in 5A in the state of Texas is quite an accomplishment. We truly appreciate the class and competition of our opponents leading up to today, Colleyville Heritage, Lovejoy, Independence, and Corsicana. Lots of tears and tiebreaks and hard fought wins and losses. The kids put so much into trying to go as far as they can, and as coaches we always wonder where we fell short or what more we could have done. But as coaches of these players, we do not think the players fell short in any regard. They competed until the very end. As student athletes this is just one part of their very big lives, lives that we feel so blessed to be a part of and that we hope the lessons we have instilled in them about class, leadership, and winning the right way will be carried with them in every facet of their lives. The early mornings, late nights, tennis/life/school balance isn’t for nothing just because this one season has ended… we are a better for it. Sorry this is rambling. Has been an emotional week for us all. Did our best for Coach Woods!! And of course for each other. Time to get healthy, get ready, and get set, because we are coming for spring season! Good luck to all of the state qualifiers!! #sco #biggerthanus #leftthetrophyonthebus
