The post I’ve been dreading to make

It’s hard to put into words what these last four years and this sport have meant to me. Gymnastics has shaped me into who I am and has given me memories I’ll carry forever.

I owe so much to the people who made this journey what it was. To my coaches, thank you for believing in me and pushing me to grow. To my teammates, thank you for being my sisters for life. To everyone who supported me along the way, I’m beyond grateful for you all. To my mom, dad, and brother, thank you for your constant love, sacrifices, and always being my biggest cheerleaders.

I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me, but I’ll always be grateful for the memories Kent State has given me. And as always…

Just like that, 15 years becomes a memory.

I’m so thankful to have been given the talent to be part of such a special sport. Through gymnastics, I’ve experienced winning, excitement, and pain. I’ve learned how to get back up again.

This sport gave me my best friends and a home away from home. From club, to Temple, to Kent State, I’ve gained sisters and family all over the country, relationships that distance will never change. Along the way, I’ve had incredible coaches and mentors who each taught me something different, all shaping me into the athlete, and person, I am today.

I’m forever grateful for my parents, who showed up for me time and time again and never let me forget how proud they are.

Thank you, gymnastics, for 15 years of feelings I’ll never experience the same way again. I’ll forever crave the feeling of hitting a perfect routine for my teammates, coaches, family, and university. But I’m also excited and ready for what’s next, and to discover who I am beyond the sport. Kent State is such a special place, and it will always be apart of me and the person I’ve become. Forever a flash⚡️🤍 #kentgrit

19 years of trusting, growing, and leaning on my faith.

I started this journey as a little girl, holding flowers in my hands, surrounded by family to now ending it the same way, with my heart full and all my loved ones by my side.

This sport gave me lifelong friends, incredible coaches, and lessons I’ll carry forever. Through injuries, setbacks, and tough love, it taught me resilience, faith, and perseverance. Through every challenge and every triumph, I’ve felt God’s protection and presence:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:2‬

I step forward from this chapter stronger, fearless, and ready for less anxiety, less finger picking, more jewelry, a real haircut, and a healthy body🤍

Kent Pride forever🤞💙⚡️
