Most people see the workout. They don’t see the 5 AM setup. They don’t see the planning, the patience, or the progressions behind it. This is what quality youth coaching looks like. 👇

Parents: what do you wish you knew before starting your kid in a program?

Coaches: how do you structure your day?

Buckles and Barrels for Bailey 2026. The competition was tough but so was our kiddo and she hung in there with the top of 700+ riders, in the 1D and won checks. What an incredible accomplishment. Never imagined we’d be seeing these times after less than 4 years in this sport. All thanks to God, her amazing horses and training. @bates_barrel_horses_llc @belinda_slayton_bates @blissbates

What a trip to remember! Last minute made a horse change and had to jockey her for the first time 3 runs back to back. Safe to say God took care of us. We started Friday off with a Solid run and clocked nice with a 15.4 came back Saturday to knock it out with a 14.8! Placed her in the 1d. Sunday I let her down and took the 2nd with me. Somehow with mistakes we clocked a 15.3😭. I can’t begin to say how blessed I am to have @belinda_slayton_bates by my side and on the road to making me the best I can be. I absolutely would not have been able to ride this horse the way I did without your mentoring. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank @cammie_baum for giving me this opportunity to run one heck of a mare at such a big race. It means the most to me ❤️

Avery continuing her dedication on strength building. Working hard to maintain that seat on a 🐎 while in full control around those barrels.
