Food has a way of bringing people together.

Over the years, I’ve realized it doesn’t matter whether you’re part of my team or sitting down as a guest. If you want to come into the kitchen and make the pasta with us, the answer is always YES YES YES.

Those few minutes around the table have a funny way of becoming the part of the evening people remember most.

Thank you all for being so kind. MAKE MORE PASTA. Obviously with us.

Bachelorette Dinner.

A table full of good food and drink creates an environment for endless conversation. I often look out of the kitchen into the dining room just to make sure everyone is smiling, communicating, and engaging.

It’s these simple gestures that make me want to cook with excitement. It’s an energy that’s fragile, so we must handle it with care.

The gnocchi dish has a poached farm egg hiding in the middle under the garlic Parmesan sauce. You can’t see it, so I figured I would tell you. It makes a difference.

I’m so proud of this team. Thank you, Ian, for reminding me to bring the food. Yes, this has happened once, and I assure you we figured it out. That’s another story for another day.
