Charlie and I had the same open-heart surgery (Fontan) and each have half a heart! To meet someone with the same disease is refreshing. To share the stage and laugh together about that disease is life-giving.

I spent so much time in disassociation because of guilt and fear. The more open I am the more I meet my people, and joy and hope wander in. I’ll save the rest for an essay. TLDR: Our hearts are fucked up, mortality scares us, still made sex and drugs jokes 🤝 🫀

Oh, perfect that in the last slide we’re standing in the handicap parking spot.
