It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. This is a goodbye I never thought would come. I’m so thankful to everyone who has helped me along this journey of my life. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given.

To my teammates, thank you for becoming family. Thank you for the memories, the laughs, the battles we fought together, and for always pushing me to be better. I’ll carry these moments with me forever. You are and will always be my sisters.

Coach Dre, thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and helping me grow both on and off the court. You have done more for me than you know. Your support has made me into the person I am today and I couldn’t have asked for a better coach.

And most importantly, Mom—thank you for every early morning, every late night, every ride, every sacrifice, and for never missing a chance to support me. None of this would have been possible without you. I’ll always be grateful for everything you’ve done for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother. Thank you for being there even when nobody else was.

Definitely a goodbye I wasn’t ready for.

AAU, thank you for the best 7 years. Thank you for the friendships, the memories, the hotel stays, the team dinners, and for giving me 7 sisters I never knew I needed. It was a bittersweet journey, but I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it. I’ll miss every summer spent traveling, the late nights, every practice, and every extra rep in the gym before tournaments.

Dre thank you for believing in me and pushing me to be the best version of myself. You didn’t just make me a better basketball player—you made me a better person. @deiondreriney

To my sisters, thank you for being my family. These last few years have given me some of the best memories I’ll ever have, and I’ll cherish them forever. I love you all and wish each of you nothing but success in everything you do. I’ll miss you more than you’ll ever know.

As this season comes to an end, I just want to say thank you to everyone who was a part of the journey.
