#WHYAXIDWEDNESDAY hear from Avery Schaefer, our Academic Achievement Director, on how Alpha Xi has shaped her:

“Growing up with three sisters, I always knew how special it felt to have people there for you throughout everything. As an out of state student, I knew that leaving home to start this new chapter of my life would be a difficult transition but because of the girls here at Alpha Xi, I immediately felt welcomed and supported. What I love most about Alpha Xi is the genuine sisterhood. I know I can count on each girl in our chapter to be there for me whenever I need. Alpha Xi Delta has pushed me to become the best version of myself and gave me a home away from home.

Another reason I love Alpha Xi is the opportunity to get involved. I am grateful to hold the position of Academic Achievement Director, because it has allowed me to take something so important to me and use it to help support my sisters. Creating a safe space for sisters to feel supported, celebrate accomplishments and to encourage each and every one of them to push themselves to reach their academic goals. Having this position has been one of the most rewarding experiences and allows me to give back to a chapter that means so much to me. I truly could not imagine my college experience without Alpha Xi.“
