First showcase of the spring season with @orionhunterelite.megaro! Photo of the amazing @averywinslowsoftball

After media day, I decided it’d be nice to have more megapixels for cropping. I traded my two Nikon ZFs and a few lenses for a Nikon Z8. Now I have beautiful resolution and no familiarity with the controls! 😂

Today I pushed myself to shoot full manual mode without auto-ISO. I learned a lot. Missed a lot of shots that I could’ve had with the ZF (purely from the experience factor). But have a few photos I wouldn’t have expected. Things can only go up from here!

Here’s to trying new things and having the best team to follow! Thank you to all the folks on @orionhunterelite.megaro and the wonderful parents! You rock ❤️

Media Day understood the assignment.

These girls showed up with the energy, the personality, and the team chemistry that makes this group so special. From serious game faces to absolute chaos in the best way possible, this day was everything we hoped for and more.

This season is going to be FUN. The laughs are loud, the bond is real, and the work is already being put in. Summer ball can’t get here fast enough.

OHE Megaro is ready to compete, grow, and make some memories together. Let the countdown to season start NOW.

Huge shoutout to @bmidgephoto for capturing these girls perfectly. We are OBSESSED with these photos. 🖤🥎💙

As a coach, there’s nothing better than seeing your players’ hard work pay off.

I’m incredibly proud to say that all 13 of our OHE Megaro athletes earned spots on their school softball teams this season. Every single one of them.

That doesn’t happen by accident. It’s early mornings. Extra reps. Strength work. Accountability. Competing when no one is watching. Choosing to get better every single day.

Some are stepping into Varsity roles. Some are building on JV. Every role matters. Every inning matters. Every rep matters.

What makes me most proud isn’t just that they made their teams — it’s how they did it. With grit. With discipline. With a team-first mindset.

We are hyped for this school ball season and can’t wait to watch them compete, lead, and represent.

Once a Megaro daughter, all 13 of them, always a daughter!!

Love you ladies....Let’s go to work!!

Had a great time in Tennessee. The outcome wasn't what we wanted, but it's all good. We're going to come back stronger in Raleigh NC
