cats + a small space can be a recipe for stink if you don’t have the right litter.

we’ve been loving @catalystpet ‘s all natural, pine scented formula in both our tiny cabin and the ambulance. spoiler- it’s so good i use it in my composting toilet too 🫣

Catalyst being sold at Walmart is a game changer for our travels, because now I don’t have to find a shipping address or make plans to restock. i can just grab it at Walmart, no matter where we are!

i absolutely can’t wait to hit the road next week, but we still have lots of prep to do before then. follow along to see how things turn out!

These precious puppies were born at Barstow Humane Society and are now 5 months old—their entire world so far has been kennel walls and concrete floors. This is a critical time in their lives when puppies need human touch, love, and interaction to grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs. Every day without that connection matters.

Their mama is still just a young dog herself. She came in as a stray about 6 months ago, already pregnant, and has done everything she could to care for her babies in a stressful shelter environment. She deserves a chance at a safe, loving home too.

These pups and their mom didn’t choose this life—but we can choose to help them.

🐾 Adoption details:
• Puppies: $225 adoption fee + $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit (returned once proof is provided after the appropriate age)
• Mama: $225 adoption fee and she will be spayed before leaving

🐾 Interested? Email us: Barstowshelterinfo@gmail.com

✨ Even if you can’t adopt, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST. Sharing increases visibility and could be the reason these puppies—and their mom—are seen by the right person at the right time. One share can change an entire family’s future.

Let’s get them out of the shelter and into the arms they’ve been waiting for. 🤍

I made a video about the family I made on the road. When I left everything I had, all the people I knew, and an entire identity of who I was the biggest thing I was searching for was some sense of belonging or feeling of home. It some years of wandering and eventually using the internet to build a little corner of the world by getting people together in one place. That became an annual tradition. This event that was full of so much magic and set the stage for where my life has gone over the recent years. Somehow that group chat is still active after all this time and many have traveled with myself and others on even more epic adventures. We lived as desert rats together climbing rocks, sleeping out of cars and vans waking up to rainbows and the northern lights in the south of Utah. Everyone became fast friends, car forts were built, every meal was shared, over 20 people squeezed into a bus for movies. I still think about these nights. Each person had an impact on me with some conversation, skill or hobby that changed me forever. After years I finally did something with all the footage and journals/writing I had and put it into a 50 minute video. Of course the worst part is having to say goodbye to these people and seeing their lives develop in different directions. And learning to carry them with you in the moments that you are alone.
