Avi Dell -Surrenderer

Limited Edition Signed Copy - Beautifully written and soulfully sung. This record definitely feels like a labor of love. The sound is unmistakably analog ( was recorded to analog tape ) and boast a full and rich experience especially on vinyl.

Avi is a Brooklyn-based alt-rock/Americana artist.

New episode dropping Friday, February 20th 🎙️

I’m sitting down with Brooklyn-based Americana alt-rock artist Avi Dell to talk about his seven-year break from the music industry, his return to songwriting, and the creative vision behind his multimedia album Surrenderer.

It’s an honest, thoughtful conversation about growth, storytelling, and finding your way back to the music.

Make sure you’re following Chords and Conversation so you don’t miss it.

Calling Up Your Ghosts
This project was created as a visual collaboration with musician @avidellmusic, inspired by his song “Calling Up Your Ghosts.”
I was asked to translate the emotional arc of the track into a short comic sequence.
The story follows a man confronting the absence of his father, the quiet damage left behind, and the difficult choice to reconnect and forgive late in life.
It’s about memory, restraint, and the things we carry long after the moment has passed.
Sharing the finished panels here along with a short process video showing the journey from sketch to final art.

Some stories wait.
Some ghosts only answer when you’re ready to listen.
