Two incredible researchers brought a 2000 years old Date Palm back to life using seeds from archaeological excavations.

This story, which I directed for @bbcglobal back in 2021, reached over 11.5 million viewers worldwide.

Originally I was supposed to produce the video, but @landsman.zvi the director generously handed it to me, saying he believed I could direct it myself. The next day I was driving six hours into the desert with Dr. Sallon, her assistant Aviv the cinematographer and all the filming gear.
It was my first project as a director and I was determined to make it as good as possible.

Luckily I had an amazing team: @avivmsj , @nirguilat the editor and a story that truly deserved to be told.

This might be the most important project I’ve ever directed.
Almost two years after working on a film about October 7, I found myself telling the story of Israelis standing with the innocent children of Gaza.

Both projects reflect the same values: standing with innocent victims. Instead of choosing between being “pro-Palestinian” or “pro-Israeli” — I choose to be pro-peace and pro-life.

I feel a deep responsibility to amplify the voices of those who simply want to live — in Israel and in Gaza — until the hostages come home and this war ends.

Grateful to the small lights shining in the darkness, like Adi Ronen Argov and all those in this silent protest.

Thank you @newisraelfund and my incredible team: Cinematography – @avivmsj

✨ Exciting News: My Film Is Attending Three New Festivals! ✨
I’m thrilled to announce that my film about bees, their vital importance to our world, and my personal journey with them, has been selected to screen at three more film festivals!
🐝 This project means so much to me, not just as a filmmaker but as a mother. My son, who was 4 years old when we started this journey, was the one who sparked the idea. His fascination with bees and desire to “save them” inspired me to explore their significance, even as I faced my own childhood fear of them.
🛫 I was supposed to fly to one of these festivals, but unfortunately, due to the current situation in Israel, my flight was canceled. While I can’t physically be there, my film will continue its journey without me, and I couldn’t be prouder of the message it carries.
🐝 Bees teach us about harmony, balance, and persistence, and their role in our ecosystem is crucial. Through this film, I hope to inspire others to recognize their importance and protect these incredible creatures.
Thank you all for the continued support! 🐝💛
