🗓️🏉 August is here… and pre-season is in full swing! 💪🔥

It’s another busy month for Somerset Rugby Referees Society as we build towards the new season! 🙌

🌴 1 August – Bath Combination 7s & Cheltenham 7s
🏖️ 8–9 August – Weston Beach Rugby Festival
🏃 Every Tuesday – Pre-Season Fitness Training
👥 13 August – Appointments Meeting
📋 24 August – RFRU AGM

📅 The season is beginning to ramp up, with appointments already coming in…

🏉 8th – 2 Fixtures
🏉 13th – 2 Fixtures
🏉 15th – 4 Fixtures
🏉 18th – 2 Fixtures
🏉 20th – 1 Fixture
🏉 21st – 1 Fixture
🏉 22nd – 10 Fixtures 💥
🏉 28th – 3 Fixtures
🏉 29th – 1 Fixture

📧 There’s still time to get your pre-season home fixtures over to us! If they’re not already on GMS, simply send them to the Appointments Team and we’ll do our best to provide match officials.

⏰ Don’t delay! Referees are appointed on a first come, first served basis, so the earlier you send your fixtures, the better your chances of securing an official. 🏉✅

💪 Good luck to everyone involved in tournaments, training, meetings and pre-season fixtures throughout August. Here’s to another fantastic season of rugby! ❤️🖤

🏉🔥 2 Tournaments. One Team. Supporting the Game! 🔥🏉

This weekend, our match officials will once again be out in force, proudly representing the Somerset Rugby Referees Society across two fantastic rugby festivals! 🙌💪

📍 Bath Combination 7s @ Avon RFC 🦁
📍 Cheltenham 7s Festival 🟠

A huge thank you to every referee giving up their Saturday to ensure hundreds of players can enjoy a safe, competitive and enjoyable day of rugby. 👏❤️

Whether you’re in the middle with the whistle 🎤, running the touchline with the flag 🚩, or supporting from the sidelines with the clipboard 📋, every official plays a vital role in making these events happen. 🏉

If you’re at either tournament, don’t forget to say hello 👋 and show your appreciation to all the match officials working throughout the day. Best of luck to everyone involved – enjoy the rugby! 💥🍀
