POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today, as I looked through these photos, I realised that every chambering student’s journey is different.

Some have gone on to build successful legal careers.
Some have become leaders in their own fields.
Some may still be searching for their direction in life.

And that’s okay. Because growth is not a race.

As mentors, we celebrate the successes, but we also understand the struggles, setbacks, and detours that come along the way.

Just like a parent watching their children grow, our hope is never that they become exactly who we want them to be.

Our hope is simply that they find their own path and become the best version of themselves.

To all my chambering students, past and present:

Whether you are thriving today, rebuilding, feeling lost, or chasing a new dream, please remember this:

You do not have to walk the journey alone.

I may not be able to walk every step with you, but I will always be cheering for you from the sidelines.

And whenever life becomes difficult, know that there will always be a place for you to come back, have a conversation, seek advice, or simply reconnect.

Because once you become part of our journey, you will always be part of our family.

Some succeed.
Some get lost somewhere along the way.

But regardless of where life takes you, I will always be on your side. ❤️

After all, mentorship does not end when chambering ends.
The relationship simply evolves. 🌱

From that first step on 22.2.2023…
to this moment on 3.4.2026.

Nothing happened overnight.

Every laugh,
every challenge,
every ordinary day—

led to this.

Because growth
is not built in one moment,
but in many moments
no one sees.

Proud of you, @avrilsoo_ ❤️
This is only the beginning.

Avril ❤️

“I didn’t just see you succeed…
I saw you grow.
Yesterday, you became a lawyer.
But to me… you became yourself.”

Yesterday, my chambering student was called to the Bar.

And for a moment…
time felt a little slower.

I saw you standing there,
in your robe,
smiling.

But in my mind,
I wasn’t just seeing that moment.

I was seeing the first day you walked into the firm;
unsure,
quietly figuring things out,
trying your best to understand this profession,
and yourself.

I remember the questions you asked,
the mistakes you were afraid of making,
the days you were tired but still chose to stay and learn.

There were no big moments back then.
Just small, ordinary days.

But somehow…
those were the days that built you.

And today,
you stood there—
not just as a lawyer,
but as someone who has gone through the journey,
and did not give up on it.

As a mentor,
what touched me most
was not that you made it here—

but that you became someone
ready for what comes next.

Because being a lawyer
was never the destination.

It is a responsibility.
A life you choose to carry.
A path where people will trust you
with what matters most to them.

And I believe…
you are ready.

I’m grateful that our paths crossed.
Grateful that I had the chance
to walk a part of this journey with you.

And maybe one day,
you will stand where I am today—
watching someone else grow,
and quietly feeling the same.

This is not the end.
This is the beginning of who you are becoming.

We don’t just witness success.
We witness people becoming.

Each time I see them moving forward — with just a little more confidence, a little more courage, and a heart that grows stronger — I feel deeply touched.

Some of them were once unsure, afraid to take the first step, or uncertain of their direction. Yet, slowly, they begin to discover their own light — a light that shines with passion, kindness, and purpose. Seeing that transformation reminds me why I do what I do.

It’s not just about teaching or leading; it’s about walking together through moments of doubt, sharing laughter after long days, and witnessing them bloom into the best version of themselves.

Every smile, every story, every breakthrough — no matter how small — means the world to me. Because behind each step forward, there is a heart that dares to believe again.

I’m deeply grateful for this team — not just for their hard work, but for their warmth, sincerity, and the love they carry for the world around them. I truly believe one day, each of them will go on to touch more lives and spread the same kindness they’ve shown here. ❤️

We’re not just building a career — we’re building hearts, courage, and a sense of purpose that will ripple far beyond ourselves.

🌱 A Cup of Tea, A Heart of Gratitude

Today, my lawyer treated me to a cup of tea.
She smiled and said, “You’ve bought me so many meals. Today is my turn.” 😊
It wasn’t the tea that warmed my heart — it was the thoughtfulness, the gratitude, and the quiet appreciation that made my day.

I believe millennials are full of creativity, ambition, and willingness to work hard. But many still carry a fragile heart — easily discouraged, hesitant to fail, and uncertain of their own worth.

Often, we compare them to those from the ’80s and ‘90s — saying they lack grit or drive. But it’s not a fair comparison.
We grew up in tougher environments, expected to fend for ourselves. They grew up more protected, more guided, and in a world that changes faster than ever.

So, rather than compare, let’s support.
Let’s help them build their confidence, guide them in finding direction, and most importantly — be a friend, a mentor, a compass when they feel lost.

Because sometimes, all it takes is one small gesture — like a cup of tea — to remind someone that they are seen, appreciated, and capable. 🌸
