This week, we have a special Soapbox Edition Spotlight. First, we are kicking off introducing our new leadership with editor and human extraordinaire, Jen Grey. Jen is on the SB Membership committee and in this week's Spotlight, she talks about some firsts in her life and a dream-come-true career opportunity. Jen has also been spearheading uniting our female editors (and aspiring editors) and will be moderating a Between Three Editors this Saturday. Each day this week, we will be spotlighting the 3 speakers. Looking forward to hearing their stories and insights.

Jen, tell us...

The phrase/quote you try to live and work by.
"Being true to yourself never goes out of style."

The best piece of advice you have ever received.
That when one door closes a better one will open.

A dream of yours that is now a reality.
Honestly being an editor. I never would've believed a few years ago that in my 20s I'd be getting to work on global tentpoles like F9.

An important personal victory over the last year.
Moving into my own apartment and getting my first trailer finish.

The biggest setback or loss in your career, and what you learned from it.
That sometimes things aren’t meant to work out and that no matter how hard you try you can’t please everyone.

Favorite local eatery.
If you're ever in Thousand Oaks check out Stonehaus. @thestonehaus

A series or movie that best personifies you.
The Holiday. As someone who grew up in Los Angeles with dreams of living in London I watch that movie on repeat at Christmastime.

After 2 long years, we were so grateful to reunite with our amazing friends in LA a few weeks ago. The Gaven Family, Aunt Liz & Uncle John and The Martsolf Family…we love you all so very much. You have loved our kids since the day they both were born & we are blessed to call each of you family. Thank you for decades of loving, faithful, loyal friendship. So fun to take McKinley back to visit our first home where he & Delaney grew up-until we moved when they were 6 & 4. Love that view❤️
