Fresh autobelay routes going up on the main wall today. Our routesetters are powered by Makita drills and an irresponsible amount of kiwi.🥝 🥝🥝

A very VV field trip.

We got a call that the old climbing wall at Sky Zone needed a new home. So, we rented a 20-foot U-Haul, loaded up the tools, assembled a crew and climbed into a foam pit.

Piece by piece, bolt by bolt, the wall came down and eventually made its way back to VV.

We DIY a lot around here. We build volumes, fix water fountains (repeatedly), paint walls, move heavy things back and forth and occasionally spend a day chest-deep in foam cubes with power tools. Nothing fancy- but good people, ingenuity and a whole lotta of grit.

The wall is currently tucked away in the VV workshop while we figure out what its next life might be.

We have some ideas. 👀

There are currently 83 rope routes and 80ish boulders in the gym.
And every week, our setting team is stripping walls, washing holds, setting climbs, forerunning, tweaking movement, and doing it all over again for a complete gym turnover every 6–8 weeks.

The goal isn’t change for the sake of change. It’s making sure there’s always something new to learn, project, get humbled by, and finally send.

Sometimes we’ve even built routes specifically for individual climbers training for competitions, working toward a goal, or just looking for a particularly nasty challenge.

We’re not the biggest gym around. But we’re incredibly lucky to have a crew that cares this much about creating great climbing.

Thanks, setters. ❤️

The village behind the climbs.
Today the setting crew was hard at work creating new boulders—including climbs designed to help prepare our Vanguards headed to Nationals later this month.
Aaron, Atti, Dylan, Izzy, and Max on the drills. A couple of Vanguards getting a behind-the-scenes look at forerunning. Everyone working together to help our athletes put their best foot forward in Salt Lake City.
New climbs dropping tonight.

Aaron & Izzy: Monks of Main Wall 🧘‍♂️🧗

Every setting crew has its own personality.
Some operate with wild banter, loud yipping, questionable singing, and a healthy amount of frustrated groans.

@awashedaway and @izzylrx are built different.

Quietly suspended 20+ feet off the deck, they spend hours moving holds, solving puzzles, and speaking only when absolutely necessary.
Thoughtful work and a calm focus that turns into fresh climbs.

Their contemplative practice concluded this afternoon, and the main wall has a fresh batch of top ropes waiting for you.

Come see what they’ve have been working on.

“losing is apart of winning,” while i may have not gotten that silver ring around my finger, i have won so much more i thought i would never had. i won a family, relationships that will take me through life, girls that will be bridesmaids at my wedding someday, and i won memories i will never forget. while it may not make sense right now, when you lose something you always gain another. sometimes your best isn’t enough but it’s what you win after you lose. i have gained way more than words could’ve ever given me. i gained a family. you guys have my heart.

thank you to my coaches @dominique.rushing @danigrayy @tylermgray7 @awashedaway for the opportunity to be on 2 amazing teams, thank you for being there through it all. thank you for never giving up no matter how hard it got. thank you for helping us be the athletes and teams we are today.

Strong, Brave, Beautiful & Awesome.
TD Aces are your undefeated 2026 Small Youth 2 Flex Summit Champions!

There aren’t and never will be enough words to describe what Aces means to us. Not only this season, but all 4.
I truly believe this team has taught Dom, Savannah & I more than we ever taught them. It brought us closer as sisters, ignited a fire in our coaching hearts, and reminded us of our why every single day.

To our Aces girls, past & present - You are once in a lifetime. The way you handle yourselves under pressure should be studied. I am so impressed with your composure, work ethic, and most importantly the love you continue to have for each teammate. The way this team bonds you is unimaginable and us + all 53 girls we have had on Aces are bonded for life.

None of this would be possible without the village behind the girls and us, our Aces parents. Some of the best parents, raising incredible young girls, and being in our corner every step of the way. The way these parents love not only their child, but each others is inspiring and has made this experience even more sweet.

Thank you to every coach, mentor, and choreographer who has had a hand in this and been part of the process. We have had the time of our lives coaching this team and will forever be changed by it.

What a legendary series finale. ❤️♠️
