📣 New year, new staff intros 📣
Our new Director of Sports Nutrition is Ann Weidmayer. She’ll also serve as the team dietitian for football, golf, spirit, and the distance runners from track and cross country. Throughout each week, you’ll probably spot our bonus member (swipe to also meet him) Brutus around at least once.

Ann’s office is in the West End Zone. You might catch her there, the football fueling station, reminding players to eat some veggies at Training Table, or running around to practices, but you can always send a message to get any help! Ann offers in person or virtual appointments for more flexible scheduling.

Ann has food allergies to gluten, dairy, and eggs and has thought about how her last meal would have to include mac & cheese, cheesecake, fried shrimp, and a cinnamon roll more than once.

I realized I never really posted my grad pics, but today I registered for my fall grad classes and started packing to leave for Illinois. AND next week I get to meet with the dietitian for the mf Chicago Cubs ~ post-grad life is good🍾

With my final rotation focused on community, I got to do a nutrition education and cooking demo with a class of 3-5 year olds. I chose Cinnamon Stars as my recipe to share and pass on since it’s one of my favorites especially around the holidays and I always had such good memories making them. The kids ended up loving the finished product and getting to help make a batch (although that part could’ve been because they started eating powdered sugar by the fistfuls while we rolled out the dough😂)

Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and co-present on “An Inter-disciplinary Approach to Youth Golf Development @imgacademy” with @dr.andrewpichardo @atc.jenna @aweid_rd at the 2024 TPI Summit in Orlando last weekend.

Shout out to the entire @mytpi team for facilitating yet another great event, promoting learning and development, and providing the opportunity for connection and sharing between golf, fitness, & medical professionals and various other performance disciplines.

Welcome @imgagolf’s, @dr.andrewpichardo, @christianajsmith, @atc.jenna and @aweid_rd as speakers at the 2024 TPI Summit.

Their presentation, “An Inter-Disciplinary Approach to Youth Golf Development at IMG Academy,” will offer insight into how Strength & Conditioning, Sports Medicine, Mental Performance, and Performance Nutrition work together within the Athletic & Personal Development department at @imgacademy.

Each team member will outline their role in supporting junior golfers’ long-term development and performance, including how they identify opportunities for improvement in young athletes, deliver programs and implement systems to optimize collaboration within departments.

Officially introducing: Ann Weidmayer MS, RD, LDN, CPT

That’s a mouthful but we won’t be adding any more letters for a while. After 5 1/2 years of school and finishing my MS/DI in December, I accepted a job at East Carolina University’s Athletic Department and moved to North Carolina at the beginning of the year! At the beginning of this month I passed my boards and have been working on getting all my licensure & today was officially my first day as a fully credentialed dietitian🎉
