Congrats to Captain Carl Ball on the Flats Stewardship Award and honoring the late Captain Jose Wejebe with the Curt Gowdy Memorial Media Award. Both have made a lasting impact on our fisheries, our community, and generations of anglers.

Thank you to our supporters for celebrating with BTT at the 13th Annual Florida Keys Dinner as we inducted two heroes of the flats into the BTT Circle of Honor.

Captain Carl Ball received the Flats Stewardship Award in recognition of his longstanding contributions to fisheries science and conservation. BTT honored the late Captain Jose Wejebe with the Curt Gowdy Memorial Media Award for his inspirational storytelling that brought a love of saltwater fishing and marine conservation into the hearts of millions.

#flyfishfriday Florida Keys with Captain Carl @awolfishing .. Nothjng gets a Florida Guide as fired up as anglers who can’t see fish, can’t cast in wind, can’t judge where to put the fly or even knowing where the fly is. Captain Carl never returned me to the dock, but we did often have in depth discussions while chasing the Silver King.
