🪄Happy ‘Spring Cleaning’ Challenge Day! For my April Patreon challenge I asked patrons and y’all to share projects you worked on over the last month as a creative community challenge #seerobin

👋 I’ll share some of y’all’s work in my story today! & In this post lies glimpses into the work of myself, my patrons, and my roommates (surprise art house dwellers 😁 I’ve loved your music, painting, & sewing work this April!) 💅 Swipe through to see projects everyone made this April/early May. Tagged accounts link to the creatives behind the images shown. I’m grateful for the work they do and things they produce. It’s cool 😎 :)

🏴‍☠️ As for me! My month was sorting past from present, cleaning up my attitude, building new dreams, working on my big offline project, connecting with family, and shouting out artists I love.

🍕Extra shoutout today to @andyjpizza - another pizza appreciation moment for an illustrator poster child for creative pep who just released illustrations in this very cool existential parent child adventure story. @winemomjared @mlouieb @thesamspo and I read it on my carpet like school children and had a really nice time hah ❤️ Send some love Andy and everyone’s way if you want to cheer on a couple cool creatives.

Xo, thanks for reading!!!

Our January Patreon challenge artwork! They’re so cool!! Swipe through everyone’s tags & interpretation of the challenge to: Develop Our Artistic Voices! Our one criteria was to utilize written word in some way. This project was inspired by the work of @lisacongdon and @homsweethom. - Some of you have seen me promoting this idea of strengthening your voice lately. My piece is meditating on a personal goal to listen to my inner voice more and make sure I bring it to the table in my artwork and in my life decisions. There are so many voices you can listen to. Make sure you foster a relationship with your own values and voice so you can lead yourself into good places 🧡 feel free to try this challenge if you want, feel free to just go write in your journal sometime hah- tag me in your art if you want :) xo

August’s Patreon Challenge was a Monochrome Challenge! The first image is mine followed by the work of tagged patrons :) I’m happy with the work and creativity pulled around this constraint. Tbh, I struggled on mine! It took me a bit past the end of August 😅, but I’m glad for the push into new visual thoughts. After this, I’m feeling stoked to bust back into acrylics for land studies. A technically challenging and slow oil piece, makes it seem fun to do some fast thinking and brush stroking. Our last image is one from a twitter based patron @CpKarmann xo!

It’s that time again :) Patreon Challenge expo time woo. In July we worked on our sketchbook practices, upping our entries and working to integrate new ideas into our art. The first image is one of mine that I made inspired by some recent development in the illustrative style of my landscape sketches. There’s more about it in today’s YouTube video, linked in story and bio, but for now! Flip through and show some love to these artists! Thank you patrons for your work and support! ❤️❤️❤️ hope everyone has a nice weekend.

June Patreon Challenge. Last month my patrons worked on pieces surrounding the theme ‘Spirituality’. I was really happy reading through the words shared in captions with these art works and working and mediating on my own spirituality piece. I wasn’t able to finish mine yet, so the piece I’m sharing is a throw back from my 2013 senior show. The show was themed around the ties between water and death. This 2 x 3’ work was a self portrait I made for the show, reflecting on my own state of being following my dad’s passing. I’m flanked by the figures of my niece and nephew. In this work I was thinking about family, connection and disconnection, and where I stood at that time. Right now my own reflections on spirituality relate most heavily to human connection. I really do see the world and people around us, the things we do to help and lift up one another, crossing differences and defenses to find our relation and mutual humanness as a high spiritual calling- being present to see the people around you as you might see yourself. Swipe through, take a look at the art of these patrons, check out their tags and captions. Feeling a lot of love. Have the best day my art friends and if you have any desire to meditate on and conceptualize your own connection to personal spirituality in an art piece, tag me! I’d love to see ❤️
