She's the Cosplay Warrior Goddess @the_mighty_maiden - This 40 year old from Queensland, Australia has always been a lover of creativity and imagination.

“I love art, photography and most of all, Cosplay. It has always intrigued me because of the level of skill and creativity people invest into their costumes. It inspired me to start to build a Valkyrie helmet that started out as a $2 paper mask and evolved into something I will always be proud of. It went from being a test of imagination to my own interpretation of a Female Thor. I collected the rest of the items I needed over the months to pull the costume all together and wore it to a convention proudly.”

The pandemic of 2020 was hard for everyone. And it took her to her lowest point, both physically and mentally. But a crucial moment in time would make her undergo the toughest cosplay transformation of her life.

“I was suffering intense anxiety and facing starting all over again. Then I got an opportunity to be able to wear a custom made Batgirl costume for a developing costume maker. So I contacted @andrewlutomski to help get me back into shape to wear the costume and for my life in general. Through all the hard work, I’ve learned to be thankful and appreciate life so much more...it taught me so much and to come back more resilient and determined.”

If 2020 has been any indication, life can be a challenge and it’s not always easy. But one of the most important relationships you can have is with yourself. She used the same creativity in her cosplay to rebuild herself and rediscover the hero and warrior inside. We only have one life to live, and she plans on living the best life she can.

“For me, body positivity means that no matter if you are carrying weight you don’t want to or at the peak of physical fitness, you need to love yourself through it all cause it’s you. I felt like I had failed myself and would cross examine every bit of extra weight I had on but have come to the realisation that it’s ok and I am taking the right steps to get back to fit and actually enjoying the process of it all coming together.”

Occupation Rainfall was an awesome movie tonight. Saw a preview and when it is released make sure you go check it out. The action is from start to finish, the actors are great and it really punches above its weight. As some of you might remember, I was off shooting something up in Manchester about a month and a half ago.. stoked to finally be able to reveal the name of the show!!⁣
Also, I haven’t forgotten that I promised a 15 min call to whoever guessed the show right on a post I did a couple of weeks ago! I’ll announce the winner soon 🤗⁣

Not gonna lie, it felt kinda weird at first to jump from ‘ @neighbours ’ (Ramsay St) to Corrie (@coronationstreet )... BUT, I feel immensely privileged to have had the chance to be on both shows!!⁣

What a crazy ride 😝... if you had told young Kev on his tiny little island that one day he’d appear respectively on Australia and England’s most iconic TV shows he’d have probably laughed (in French.. because he couldn’t speak English back then haha) and asked you how??? 😁⁣

Life is funny like that.⁣
⁣
And as I always say: “If the future doesn’t scare you a little, your dreams are probably not big enough” 🤗⭐️🎬!!

Welcome To Wrigleton pilot was so very, very good, it was sensational. So much heart and love there, so much fine, subtle humour. A great little Aussie gem!!
