What a week of Hobos Fighting Hunger! 💙💛

A HUGE thank you to all the SDSU student organizations, students, and supporters who participated in this year's Hobos Fighting Hunger competition! Your generosity and school spirit are helping us fight food insecurity right here on campus.

Every donation makes a difference, and we couldn't do it without our incredible Jackrabbit community!

🏆 Stay tuned! We'll be announcing our competition winners soon!

Thank you to everyone who took the pledge against hazing this week. We loved seeing the VBR window full of hands committing to a safe campus community.

Remember, hazing is never okay. These hands don’t haze.

#ChessBoxing #SDSU used to let men and women hash out their differences in the ring instead of at the bar and pay the winner. Who thinks we should bring back Jacks Chess Boxing?

The 2nd Annual #Jackrabbit Bash was held on September 18, 2010 on Main Avenue in Downtown Brookings starting at 11pm, it featured a #chess #boxing tournament with 5 challenges and 2 women's and 3 men's weight classes. Competitors competed for a $100 prize for the winner.

The Concept: Competitors alternated between rounds of a serious game of speed chess and intense, physical boxing matches until a winner emerged via checkmate or knockout. Students were encouraged to sign up and try out this new sport.

Want to see which girl won? I'll post the final round if people show enough interest.
