Today we invite you to join us for AXS x TriBeta Trivia Night! We are so excited to hang out with members of Alpha Chi Sigma, the professional chemistry fraternity, over a game of trivia!

Trivia is a traditional social event for TriBeta, as we used to play at Linda’s once a semester. We’re excited to bring it back, now at BeerStudy! Please arrive at 6:30 so we can get your attendance promptly! 🧩

Last week we had the privilege to host UNC chemistry students on a career trek to the CareYaya office!

The students were given the opportunity to share 3-minute pitches of their innovative ideas to improve care and quality of life for the aging population. It is always a pleasure to be able to hear new perspectives from the future of our workforce on how to implement these changes.

Thank you to @uncucs and @axsigmarho for allowing this event to take place. We look forward to collaborating more in the future!

Last week, UCS collaborated with the Alpha Chi Sigma Professional Chemistry Fraternity in hosting an employer panel discussion for their members and students majoring in chemistry or biology. The panel featured representatives from CareYaya, Carrboro Family Vision, and PharPoint Research. The panelists gave great advise to the attendees and truly gave memorable responses with every question. Each of them highlighted that need for soft skills beyond having the technical ability to work in their industry, and employers are looking to hire students who have good communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Thank you to Jason Chow, Denise Thomas, and Nirvana Mansour Hosseini Tari for your participation in this event, and thank you to Rebecca Turner and Brendon Brown for your collaboration with UCS for this event!
