Cleaning up I found these blank masks, my Mom had gifted me while she was still here on earth💝There’s nothing as beautiful as seeing the evening and morning star at ceremony. Iguanas symbolize petitions for rain and harvest. They also known as the ancestor’s spirits guarding our sacred temples in Mexico. Y si, a los Camachos nos vale ver&@ lo que digan✨. . #masks #iguanas #morningstar #eveningstar #rolas

🌲Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve / Kashaya Pomo Ancestral Homelands🌲

🌱With a lifespan of up to 2,000 years, and heights up to 380ft/115m, the Coast Redwood is Monumental in size and history. I try and imagine the innumerable stories these endangered giants could tell. So much can happen in the average lifespan (500-700yrs) of a Coast Redwood, and so much has. Many millennia of life with the Kashaya Pomo people, who would generally only collect and use Redwoods that had already fallen, to the settlers that logged them to near extinction, to the rapidly progressing challenges of climate change, and the uncertain future of the land’s protected status, I couldn’t help but feel a little sadness in the otherwise sublime reverie that is standing in a Redwood grove.🌲 I thought I would reach out and offer a hug, to comfort the ancient and the weary, but as we stood there I realized, it was really just myself I was comforting. 🍃

🌸Mis hermanas🌸
It doesn’t get any better. They have been there for me through thick and thin. We’ve survived and grown and overcome things that may have seemed impossible at times. 🌸
When all others doubted, my sisters never wavered, lending me strength and solidarity to push through. My sisters are my world and I will spend the rest of my days, honoring, celebrating, and uplifting the beautiful light they bring into my life, and the lives of those around them.

Hijas del bosque 🌲🌎♥️ When something is borrowed, we take extra care to make sure that when returned, it is in better shape than when it was received. Earth, with all it’s delights and gifts is ours, but on borrowed time from future generations. Everyone can make a difference, and that’s how it must be, for only through unity can we ensure that future people’s can thrive in this splendid place we call home 🙏🏽 #earthday #loveyourmother #motherearth #bodegabay #nationalforest #nature #naturegram #sisters #hermanas #mujeres #poderosa #redwoods #california #nativecalifornia #forest #coast #optoutside #getoutside #natureforall #hiking #love #publiclands #roadtrip #explore #naturecures #healing #protectthesacred #waterislife #gratitude #unity

Everyday I thank Creator for this most heroic and graceful woman. A woman so wise, wild, creative, and unafraid. Her liberty and resilience are traits I strive to honor all the days of my life. I am grateful for her love and friendship, and for the two beautiful sisters she gave me to roam through this life with in the best of company. My hero, my mentor, my best friend, mi mama. Gracias 🙏🏽👸🏻💐💖 #madre #mama #foreverbabe #diadelasmadres #mothersday #thankyou #gratitude #grateful #mother #hero #inspiration #fearless #love #polaroid #jordache #recordplayer #70s #badass
