Go behind the scenes of our load-in for YouTube’s Creator Lounge at Dream Con 2026. Here’s a look at our third Dream Con by the numbers:

4 months lead time
3 day load-in
6 days onsite across 2 event locations
45 onsite crew
1,297 total crew hours (pre + post)

>>>The result: a curated lounge experience with video walls, scenic lighting, and custom fabrication built for creators to connect, create, and go live.

>>>The real question: Do you think we actually cut by 6pm?

Crew Lovin All Summer.

I’ve spent this summer being a lot more intentional about nurturing my life outside of Brooklyn Tea. It’s been beautiful spending time with the humans that make my life whole

It’s also true that most of my life is spent at Brooklyn Tea. I work 6-7 days a week with actual shifts plus events and all the admin work. People coming to check on me and support the business feels me with an inexplicable joy.

So this post is dedicated to all those who intentionally met me where I was physically and emotionally.

Last Thursday Black Girls Cinema Club held our first NYC event at the fabulous Gladys Books and Wine in Bedstuy! This night was several weeks in the making, and even more months in the dreaming.

Thank you to every person who came out, bought a ticket but couldn’t come, wanted to come and shared with a friend or sent me good wishes. Every action helps move the needle.

Thank you to Dr. Philana Payton for coming all the way from LA to lead an engaging conversation on the life and legacy of Bessie Smith, as told through the film BESSIE! I appreciate your YES

Striving to build something bigger than you requires every hand. Thank you for being my community.

Spelman Sisters are my favorite sisters 🩵

More to come! #BlackGirlsCinemaClub #BlackCinema #Bessie #blackqueerwomen #blackbusinessowner
