You work hard, but are you playing hard?

What activities brought you most joy as a kid? Remember that feeling of freedom? As kids we learn by play, we live in the present and enjoy each moment for what it is. Our curiosity and creativity is a natural way of evolving. Somehow as we grow older, that sense of play is lost and work/ life consumes us. As systems and adult responsibilities take over, time for play is something we leave behind.

What if we turn that on its head and give ourselves permission to be unproductive without guilt and rediscover the power of play? The type of play where you’re not checking your phone or the time? Play offers relief from the seriousness and responsibilities of daily life. Taking us from our heads into our bodies, it brings us into the here and now.

Play strengthens social bonds, reduces stress and anxiety and allows the mind some space for creativity when we’re feeling stuck.

We always encourage play in our Forest Bathing sessions, it’s essential.

What a beautiful way to spend our Saturday. 🌿

A reminder that regulation doesn’t take away from the fun it allows us to enjoy it more fully. When we’re grounded, play becomes more present, connection feels deeper, and the day becomes all the more fulfilling.

The Art of Meditation Solstice Immersion Day

There’s so much I could say about this day, including the magic of the location (which I’m still processing). But for now I just want to offer a glimpse into our time together, as we gathered to close our 21-day journey. And to say that above anything else, this was a day of soul-to-soul connection, embodied presence, unconditional love and reverence for life.

Those who couldn’t be with us in-person tuned in online, and I feel so blessed to have spent 21 days of practice with such beautiful beings.

I feel deeply grateful to share this work.
