A sweet stranger in the French quarter wrote me a beautiful poem, we saw lovely places with even more lovely people, and we ate so so good. New Orleans, you have my heart 🤍

Tbt mardigras and its fantastical leadup which I experienced as a beautiful handwoven and tentacled creature that rises from the cracks in the pavement and descends, swinging and swooping, into the town square, only to waltz out again, feathered and fearless, painting all corners of the bywater with joyful resistance

Just a little joyous Mardi Gras moment to break up the horrific news cycle for a moment
A Mardi Gras ode to my fur babies and spirit kitties✨ Nala and Sukki fureverrr!🐱🦊
I made this costume in two days bt working full time and designing a play 💖 I saved all of their toys and hand sewed them to a jacket with a handpainted patch of my babes by @itsplaytimecouture
I made the handbag using a beret as a base and hand sewed fur and a tail along with cat tabs chainmail everythang! I pattern drafted the catsuit and whipped up a cat bonnet headpiece. Glued whiskers to my sunnies and made little claw gloves. Some details I had in mind didn’t get executed with my time crunch but I’m so happy with the finished suit and to honor the joy they brought to my life 💞
