Winning gold in Washington! 😎 Julia Alexander-Crew captured her 10th individual gold medal of her collegiate career on Tuesday! She shot a two-under-par 142 including an impressive bogey-free five-under-par second round to place first at the Western Washington Invitiational in Bellingham. The Heat placed second in the tournament, finishing one stroke ahead of the Cal State LA Golden Eagles and four strokes behind the SFU Red Leafs.

Congratulations to W⚽️ Maria Georgacacos and W⛳️ Ayda Matthews for being named this week’s Athletes of the Week powered by Meal Prep For You!! Maria Georgacacos scored both match-winning goals over the weekend, completing her brace off a deflection from a UNBC defender to lift UBCO to a 3-2 victory, before finding the back of the net two days later in their 3-0 win against UFV, both assisted by her sister Eleni Georgacacos. Her performances helped the Heat earn a crucial six points as they look to make a late-season push for a playoff spot. Competing at her first Canada West Golf Championships, first-year golfer Ayda Matthews finished one stroke away from the podium, carding an eight-over-par 150 over two rounds to place fourth overall and earn her Canada West First Team All-Star honours. Ayda Matthews, joins the Heat from Peterborough, Ontario with an impressive resume that includes an MJT Order of Merit Championship, two high school MVP awards, a club championship, and the 2025 Loyalist Junior Showcase title. Ayda will study in the Bachelor of Science program. Ally Ruston joins the Heat from Penetanguishene, Ontario. She captured two Women's Club Championships at Midland Golf & Country Club, including her first at 16 years old. The Varsity Girls Golf MVP will study in the Bachelor of Health and Exercise Science program. Georgia McGregor, the Lindsay, Ontario product joins the Heat from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Kelly's Glen Golf Club. An Honour Roll student and Ontario Scholar Award recipient, Georgia will study in the Bachelor of Health and Exercise Science program Ellie Johnson is a Vernon, BC native and joins the Heat after a Zone 2 Junior and Ladies Championship title. She is a member of Team BC Okanagan and carries a scoring average of 74. Ellie will study in the Bachelor of Commerce program. Welcome to the Heat Ayda, Ally, Georgia and Ellie 💙💛

Such an incredible two weeks of @focusgolfgroup & @kellysglen Spring Training! Had the best of playing in all sorts of conditions and gaining confidence by being back on grass. Continuously grateful to be back at camp as these weeks challenged my game and skills. I am hopeful to see what the season will bring ☀️ Thank you to coaches @marcuskhaw_ @bradleybyersgolf @nolanmackk ! You guys make a difference in this experience and I’m appreciative of the support you brought everyday. Collab Post! Today was nothing short of EPIC. Cannot begin to tell you how fantastic it was to have 16 high performance juniors work with my colleague & friend @davelambertgolf and his @swingcatalyst system! It is so essential to begin winter training correctly and with a properly built roadmap, #fggacademy squad members will leave no stone unturned cuz #betterneverstops Each player was able to spend 30 minutes with Dave who expertly diagnosed and helped discover movement & pressure keys for every single one of them! We even had the squad from @kellysglen in to jump start their winter training! We are so excited and happy to have Dave in our corner! This was only the first of many sessions for the #fggacademy and its players! I actually would recommend Dave to my fellow coaches looking to get #more for their players this off season.
