The heaviest burdens we carry are the thoughts in our own head __________________________________________________ This year has been crazy non of the less. Between success, failure, setbacks, achieving goals, determination and most of all dedication. If it hadn’t been for my wrestling coach who has guided me to see the light at the end of the tunnel and shown me how important the mind can truly be. I don’t think I would be anywhere close to where I am today. I was told to visualize my procedure and my recovery process and truly believe that I would be able to come back from this injury (I always thought it was Glosser being Glosser and I never thought much of the team talks until this injury). I woke up from surgery and I noticed my left foot had been asleep. I felt as though all of my hard work had been stripped away from me, and the worst part is that I couldn’t do anything about it. Although I was worried I had to drown out all of the negative thoughts with positive ones. I started physical therapy 6 days post surgery. And I had no idea if my foot was going to be back to normal. After a month and a half of not missing a stretch, consistently doing all of the right things. My foot had finally came back to its normal self. I cannot thank everyone enough who has checked on me, motivated me, and pushed me to be the best version of my self. The mind is truly powerful.
