40 years ❤️
And I couldn’t have come up with a better way to celebrate!

I went to Honduras 4 yrs ago with my Fairway work friends, and came back changed. My heart just knew I’d be back.

This time, I got to come back with my fiancé, our boys (missing Calla 💕), lifelong best friends, my old boss and work friends, and a group of people I love. It made this trip even more special.

When I thought about how I wanted to spend my 40th, I knew exactly where I wanted to be. In Honduras, serving, loving, giving, and being a small part of what God is doing at El Ayudante 🙏🇭🇳

This week reminded me that even when we don’t speak the same language, so much of what matters is universal!
Ex: Chocolate & coffee 😆 Smiles & hugs. Sports and intense competition 😂 Laughter, music, and the simple act of bowing our heads together in prayer 🙏🏼

Different languages, skin colors and cultures, BUT THE SAME GOD.

And on my actual bday, I got to watch my 18 yr old son, Ayden, preach his very 1st sermon/message to the youth. As his mom, watching him boldly share God’s Word is something I’ll never forget. He prepared so well, even working through the pauses needed for translation. His message was about sharing our light to glorify God, and we received from it too 🥹

I couldn’t be more proud of all 3 of our boys!
Watching them serve, love, laugh, step outside their comfort zones and experience this place with me was such a gift.

Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

That was the heart of this week. To be a light. To serve with open hands. To love people well. And to point EVERY BIT of the glory back to Him.

These pictures don’t even begin to do this week justice! And IG only allows 20🙄, but I have the receipts😉 #memories

And I know this isn’t where His work ends. We came home knowing He will continue to move in us, through us, and in the lives around us.

40 feels pretty special. Not because of the number or where I’m at in life, but because of how God allowed me to spend it.

To God be the glory. 🙏🇭🇳❤️
