Pinckneyville Chapter ☑️ Shed a lot more tears than I’d like to admit making this post. I know it’s not the end of the of the road, but man this hurts. This season has probably been the hardest one yet, dealing with a knee injury since February and missing out on the entire indoor season and just coming back in the middle of April. I spent so many nights questioning if I would ever be the same or if the injury would ever get better. Thankfully it did, so even getting to compete this year was a blessing. Making the state finals in long jump, but falling short and not placing will always be remembered as one of the most devastating things that’s ever happened to me in this sport, but sometimes that’s just the way things pan out. In triple jump it’s the same story, it’s devastating to me that I never won a state title, but 4x All-State (3x outdoor, 1x indoor) isn’t bad at all. Along with this, it was probably the most competitive 1A state meet in IHSA history. I could go on forever but I’m gonna keep it short. These 4 years have been the greatest of my life and I’ve loved every second of competing and practicing against some of these guys I’ve grown so close with over these years. I made some history, broke some records, and had a lot of fun in the process. Hope I left this place better than I found it. Excited for the next part of my journey ➡️ 🦣🦣🦣 Accolades - 4x All-State (3x outdoor, 1x indoor) - 5x State Finalist (4x TJ, 1x LJ) - 1x Sectional Champion - 5x All-South - 9x Conference Champion (4x Long Jump/3x triple Jump/1x high jump/1x 4x2 relay) - Long Jump School record holder - 4x1 Relay School record holder - Technically Triple Jump school record holder (iykyk) - S.I.R.R. Team conference champions (3rd time ever) - Sectional champions (3rd time ever)
